We will be closed on Monday, July 4th to allow our guides to celebrate the holiday with family and friends!  We are running tours all weekend and we will be running again on the 5th.  Please call or visit our web site if you would like to book a Santa Barbara wine country tour with us!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

Sherpa Fire Update – 6/20/16

Hi everyone – From what we have heard, the Sherpa fire is now at 54% containment and fire crews are hoping for full containment next week.  We are running tours every day and all wineries and hotels locally are open.

We are continuing to monitor reports and will definitely get in touch with anyone who currently has a reservation if anything changes.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that containment goes as planned and we are so thankful for the awesome crews out there working the fire!

Sherpa Fire Update

Hello all — We wanted to let everyone know that the Sherpa fire has not yet affected our wine country and we are still running tours on an every day basis.

Our local Santa Barbara Visitor’s Bureau provided us with the following information for visitors:

The fire burning in Refugio Canyon has increased overnight to 4,000 acres and is at 5% containment. A crew of more than 1,200 firefighters is aggressively attacking the fire, with five air tankers, a DC-10 and helicopters.

It is currently headed eastward, but the direction could shift north and south depending on the strength of sundowner winds.

The immediate impact to visitors is the mandatory evacuation of campers and visitors at El Capitán State Beach, Refugio State Beach, El Capitan Canyon (a private campground resort) and Circle Bar B Ranch. The two state beaches and campgrounds are closed, and reservations have been canceled through Friday, June 24. For campground updates, visit:

Highway 101 is currently open in both directions, but travelers driving through the area between Refugio State Beach and Winchester Canyon Road may experience delays and/or closures if conditions change. (During the last two nights, the highway has been closed as the fire, fueled by a shift in winds, headed toward the coast.) During Highway 101 closures, travelers can expect heavy traffic on alternate route Highway 154 over San Marcos Pass between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez.

Santa Barbara Airport remains open, with no impact on flights anticipated.

Amtrak train service is currently running, but visitors should check schedules to be sure there are no service delays or interruptions. (Last night, the Union Pacific Railroad was closed north of Goleta when the fire encroached the freeway.)

Official sources of emergency information are posted at, and

We hope that this information is helpful to you if you are planning a trip to Santa Barbara.  If you have a current reservation with us, we will be texting or e-mailing if there are any changes at all to the current situation with the fire that might affect any tours.

Thank you!

Summer is here!

Summer has arrived and it is a great time for a wine tour!  If you are in town on vacation or just driving in for the day, there isn’t a better “Santa Barbara” activity to do than a wine tour.  Our tours include everything for the day except a tip for the guide.  So, your $120.00 per person for the Daily Deluxe group tour gets you tastings at four wineries, a freshly made to order picnic lunch, souvenir stemless tasting glass and fully guided fun and education-focused tour.  PLUS – while supplies last, you will also receive a complimentary bottle of our locally produced wine per reservation/couple after the tour.  (That is a $25 value!).  You can also choose to take part in our group Grapes N Hops tour, if you prefer to do a craft beer tasting as the last stop rather than the fourth winery.  Again, only $120 per person.

Please take a look at the website or give us a call at (805) 965-9463 if you would like to book a Wine Edventures tour!  Plus, we are also on Facebook and Instagram, if you want a little more info on what we do!
